Perhaps the inspiration for Richard Adams’ book, ‘Watership Down’. ![]() Rabbits can be quite nasty towards one another and have interesting social dynamics. Rabbits make great pets and can do more than people realize: walk on a leash, can be litter-box trained… Rabbit has become taboo meat, like you’re eating Thumper, Bambi’s friend like you are eating your pet. These days, however, they no longer really make an appearance on our plates. Either people kept and raised them, or they hunted/trapped them. Rabbits used to be a very common animal on peoples’ plates.
